Another Bout (a Poem)

Another Bout

Exhausted to return

Mourning something

Knowing not what

A nagging feeling lingers

Cold and slippery to touch

Every gentle tug

An iron chain

Every little whisper

A numbing explosion

Exhausted, I sit

Worn down by disinterest

Struggling to trust the meaning

Of another bloom of apathy
